Stig Lindberg

Stig Lindberg (1916–1982) was a Swedish ceramic designer and artist known for his influential contributions to mid-century Scandinavian design. Born in Umeå, Sweden, Lindberg studied at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He gained recognition for his whimsical and modernist designs, often inspired by nature. Lindberg's iconic Berså" pattern and his work at Gustavsberg helped define Scandinavian modernist design. He was also accomplished in textiles, wallpapers, and illustrations. Lindberg's legacy continues to resonate in the world of design, with his pieces remaining highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
